Internationally renowned chess stars are heading to the Czech Republic again. Thanks to the 6th year of the Prague International Chess Festival we will have the opportunity to personally meet the fifteenth world chess champion Visvanáthan Ánand who accepted the offer to become the ambassador of the event.

If you decide to be a passive spectator you can watch every round of the Masters and Challengers tournaments in the main hall of Hotel Don Giovanni Prague from 3 p.m. These games can also be seen on the LCD wall. Live commentary can be heard in one of the lounges in both Czech and English. Of course, you can also visit Futures tournaments, the Karel Janeček Open and events in Basque or blitz chess.

Ánand will ceremonially open the festival with a lecture and present his best games to the Futures youth tournament participants. An autograph signing for Ánand is prepared for active viewers, which will take place on Wednesday, February 28 from 2 p.m. at the Don Giovanni Hotel. In addition, the festival's ambassador will ceremonially open the 2nd round of tournaments at 3 p.m.

A day later, Children's Day is on the program. Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., there are competitions in practical chess skills, knowledge history, and dexterity. Furthermore, the presentation of Jiří Štoček's book is scheduled for Saturday, March 2 from 1:30 p.m., and the final of the Czech Republic school teams in the Mathesso game will take place on March 5 and 6.

We will host a new tournament called K CERO Invest Real Estate & Financial Rapid tournament is for owners and employees in the field of real estate, banking, financial consulting and investing.

The festival organizer has prepared a summary of the previous five editions of Prague International Chess Festival. Their graphic illustration will be displayed on the second floor of the Hotel Don Giovanni in the foyer in front of the main hall.

The highest quality chess tournament in the Czech Republic will take place from February 27 to March 7 in the four-star Don Giovanni hotel in Prague. A day earlier, the opening ceremony and drawing of all categories is on the program. The organizer of the event is the 1st Novy Bor Chess Club, and the main referee is Pavel Votruba.
